PSSAs are officially over!

Well parents and students, we can officially say that the PSSAs are over!  They were fun while they lasted (hahaha!) but now they're done and the rest of the year is going to FLY!  I can't believe that we are already at the end of April and will be having our first class trip this week.  WOW!  Where has this year gone to?  We have already begun work on our yearbook information sheets and will soon be taking volunteers for writings for the yearbook, too.  Remember, next dress down day, as long as the weather is half-way decent, we'll be taking yearbook photos out on the playground.  Make sure you're here and look nice for your pic!
And parents, please remember the date of the Stable Field Trip--June 3rd!

Movin' Like Bernie

So...my crazy class coerced me into dancing to this song at the end of the day.  They were so funny about it I had to video it for the blog.  Enjoy it because they're pretty funny!  :O)

FMA Live

On April 11th, 5th and 6th Grade had an awesome Field Trip to see FMA Live, a science show sponsored by NASA and Honeywell electric.  The show featured Newton's 3 Laws of Motion and Gravity: 1) An object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force; 2) Force = mass x acceleration; and 3) For every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  The kids LOVED the presentation, which included student (and teacher!) demos, hip-hop dancing, and rockin' music!  It was the first time we'd ever seen the show, and it was AWESOME!  Hopefully, one of the kids will have an opportunity to post about it soon!

Here is a link to the EPIC sumo-wrestling video that I KNOW you've all been waiting to see...  MISS TROLIO vs. MISS R!!    Sumo-Wrestling Teachers!!!

5th Grade Dance!

Last Thursday, April 12th, the Student Council sponsored the 5th Grade Dance.  It was REALLY fun for everyone, especially the kids, lol.  We all had a great time; I took TONS of pictures.  Some of them are a little blurry, but I think you'll still enjoy seeing them.  I'm going to try and post some video here, but they haven't been uploading at all recently.  Worst case scenario, I'll post them to YouTube and repost the links here!  :O)

PSSA Prep Rally

So...I haven't been on here in so long I almost forgot how to post!  J/K of course, but in all seriousness, it's been too long!  The kids did AWESOME on the PSSA and worked hard for two weeks.  They worked so hard, we watched the Smurf Movie, lol.  I wanted to post some pictures (and make an attempt at posting video again) from the PSSA Prep Rally, where EJ the DJ did an amazing job of getting the kids totally pumped for all that hard work!  Here are some photos!
